Hello everyone, I've been using Windows 10 since I built my PC back in 2016. I still run the same version, though I've faced some crashes occasionally—especially when my computer goes into sleep mode. Now I'm considering upgrading to a fresh install, but I'm puzzled because Windows support ends on October 14, 2025. Shouldn't I go with Windows 11 instead? Can anyone advise me? I'm not sure if my motherboard supports TPM 2.0 or ASUS Z97-E with the right ports and specs. I was thinking about updating the BIOS, but I'm unsure if that would help. If I skip the TPM check and install Windows 11, is it a good idea? Should I stick with Windows 10? This is confusing since my PC is actually quite reliable. What should I do?

your i7-4790k supports both tpm 1.2 and tpm 2.0. You can install windows 11 without using tpm checks easily. The older i7-3700k worked fine with win11 pro, you can try the same method. For downloading, use the link from pureinfotech or simply extract the iso and replace the appraiserres.dll in the source folder. I’ll include the dll file here as requested.

How long have you been playing Win 11? Are all the updates functioning properly? Did you encounter any problems? Appreciate the update—I'll test it first on my laptop.

Keep using Windows 10—it's more stable than Windows 11. The year 2025 is still far off, so don't stress about it right now. If you really need Windows 11, there might be ways around it, but Microsoft hasn't made it easy.

I've been using it for over a year without any issues, aside from minor updates I'm not familiar with.

Adjust your request for clarity. Could you specify which version you'd like me to refine? The mention of merging threads suggests a focus on that particular context.

No, it wasn't worth changing from Windows 10.

for visuals it looks similar to version 10 but with a more Apple-inspired or Sierra feel. It feels modern, includes new features, and the 10-year lifespan will end with Windows 7 (rip). Why not?
