Are you confirming everything uses File Transfer? Have you considered trying iperf for a test? It seems your problems might be linked to storage.

I've been trying a file transfer to check since I'm unsure about using iperf. I managed to reach around 10Gbps, but something seems different now and I'm not sure what's changed. I plan to take a break tonight and come back tomorrow to learn how to use iperf properly. Thanks for the reply!

HyperSpeed is straightforward to operate. It might assist in identifying the reason for the delay by adjusting storage settings.

I got a new TX401 and tried swapping it into my desktop, but nothing changed. Then I swapped the desktop TX401 with the NIC in my NAS, still no effect. I still need to use iperf, and I’ll try again once I clear my mind and stop overthinking.

The card was swapped because iperf was the right tool. The NAS uses zFS with spinning disks, and there are multiple disks involved.

I placed an order for a replacement NIC yesterday, and it arrived today. The NAS uses eight 8TB drives in a RAID Z1 setup. I’m searching for tutorials on iperf, maybe updating soon.

I tried using iperf and discovered TrueNAS has it integrated, which is awesome. Early tests showed speeds around 6 Gbps, rising to about 9.5 Gbps after a few runs, with file transfers at roughly 4 Gbps. I’m not sure what to do with this data or why the new NICs are disappearing. Maybe these network cards aren’t reliable. Thanks everyone for your support!

I test with iperf while changing cards to check if any were faulty. The replacement card failed to improve performance. I’ll continue with the current setup. The first NIC is card-A and the second is card-B, both TP-Link TX401. When I switched desktop to client and NAS to server, speed dropped. Swapping the network cards didn’t help either. I even changed the ports on the switch and got the same results. Is this a Windows problem? My NVMe drive works fine, but I’m getting anxious.

You don’t have any video protection tools installed besides Microsoft Defender, correct?

No, the Windows setup remains quite lacking. I've added Google Chrome Steam, Doom the Dark Ages Obs, Discord, WinRAR, and CrystaldiskMark. I also set up my motherboard chipset drivers, and now the 10G NIC is working properly. Drivers reinstallation is still not possible.
