I have a TP-Link Archer C5 V4 router from my ISP with a USB 2.0 port for storage, which I use for FTP. It has been working well with my 128 GB pendrive for over a year. Recently, a friend gave me a 512 GB SD card and a card reader. I tried connecting the card to the card reader on my router so it could expand storage for FTP. However, the router doesn’t recognize the card—though it appears but shows zero bytes. The card works fine with the reader on my PC and TV. What should I do to resolve this? Any advice would be appreciated.

It seems to be a multi-device reader, not just an SD card reader. However, it isn't functioning as expected.

You observed two drives listed in Disk Management—one with the SD card and another empty. It seems you might want to return the device and get a different one.

The card reader functioned properly now. My router recognizes the card and displays it as FTP on my devices. Thanks @jaslion for your assistance and advice. Goodbye!
