I need a Samsung Galaxy S2 and want to set up Ubuntu Touch without worrying about it being outdated.

I think they renamed the project. I'm not entirely sure. I've used it... it feels a bit forced. A better option might be LuneOS if you're seeking something other than Android. It's not a direct Android port—it's Palm's WebOS that was adapted for Android devices. They've put in a lot of effort, but it still supports some modern apps. The Palm community hasn't disappeared after WebOS ended.

After Canonical retired the project, volunteers stepped in and renamed it UBPorts. You can explore the supported devices at https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io. Your Samsung isn’t listed there.

I've experienced it too. The links aren't working, and the page is returning a 404 error. All the mirrors are also down.

Yeah.. I want to give this a roll.. I haven't for a while though. It's an attempt to make a phone that is Google/Spyware free. I use to own a Pre and they were great phones. I really think WebOS's card based interface is unique and quite good. (switching apps should feel like using a deck of cards in your hand, you throw cards away for instance by flicking them up.. it's a great design.. and remember they did this design back in Android 2.0 days) https://preware.pivotce.com/ This is the app catalogue for it. It has about the same selection as F-Droid does for Android. But it's not daily driver ready yet.
