Here are some resources to help you progress:
- Search for "freeze tutorial at first battle" to find guides on escaping early stages.
- Look into strategies for reinforcing your army effectively.
- Check out tips on avoiding repetitive loops in combat.
Good luck, and keep experimenting!

I've never come across that term... maybe it's related to video or graphics issues?

1. Discard Rome 2 completely.
2. Purchase Shogun 2.
3. ??
4. Gain some profit—laughs, EE really improves the experience, though it’s not enough.

It can still be a video issue even if the same task is repeated because the repetition might hide underlying problems like poor quality, unstable streaming, or incorrect settings.

Your challenges are clear. I’ve been playing since Shogun 1 and Rome 1, which makes it hard to give a straightforward explanation. Some general advice could help, but be careful—using him too often can cause a big morale drop if he dies. Be mindful of hammering anvil strikes; armored infantry should engage head-on, then flank from behind for extra damage. Keep your flanks protected, as even non-hitting enemies can lower morale. Avoid spreading your forces too thin—maintain at least four ranks deep. In total war, the collision system is tricky; aim for deep ranks to handle impacts better. Try to track down routing enemies near the end of battle so they don’t regroup. Archers and cavalry are best suited for chasing down fleeing foes. Don’t let your troops get exhausted early—use the time accelerator wisely instead of forcing them to run long distances.

*chuckles softly* You're talking about that era when a general's bodyguard was the most formidable force, and you'd smash them against spearmen. And the days when a general earned the 'Scarred' badge, boosted their stats by 8 points each—plus 8 extra hit points, plus 10 critical hits to take him down.

The issues like siege and tower bugs aren't resolved yet. I'm thinking about purchasing it.

The game becomes straightforward once you master it, though I haven’t played yet—especially since I’m drawn to Roman history. I’m curious if Attila the Hun’s Total War title will improve, considering the insights about Rome II. I’m also counting down a playful Rome segment between 410 and 459.

For me, those forums are where I still pick up a few things when I really dive in. For videos, this could be useful but honestly, focus on the forums for deeper learning.
