Hi, I own an i9 12900KS with 16GB DDR4 4800MHz CL19. I recently got a Gigabyte Z690 AUROS ELITE DDR4 and the overclocking didn<|pad|>. The XMP feature doesn’t work at all—4800MHz won’t run on my older board, only around 4500MHz on a midrange Z490 works. I can’t even reach 2600MHz, no matter what voltage I set on the motherboard. I’ve tried VSSIAO, a DRAM voltage trainer, and other tools. Nothing seems to help. I’m hoping for a solid motherboard that supports high-speed RAM without problems. The MSI Z690 GAMING EDGE DDR4 looks like a solid choice, I’m planning to buy it soon. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

The top choice for memory overclocking is the Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Apex. That’s exactly what you needed, without any questions about the cost.

The top choice is perfect, but I require a solid Z690 board compatible with DDR4. Opted for MSI GAMING EDGE DDR4.
