I figured I’d check in with people to see what they think are the worst windows ever made. Just for a laugh.

Top reasons Windows 7 appears less stable compared to Vista, especially with Windows 8/8.1, often linked to system issues or outdated components.

Best: Windows 10 due to its support for multiple desktops and smooth, user-friendly interface. Worst: Windows 8 as it struggled significantly with touchscreen technology and was generally considered poor quality.

Yes, you can still run games similar to BF1 on older operating systems, but there may be some restrictions depending on the system and game version. For example, DOS-based games often require emulation or compatibility layers, while modern OSes might support them with proper drivers or virtual machines. Check the game's documentation for specific requirements.

vista stands out as the top choice, while the third-place finisher lands around 95-98. They have iconic features too. Windows 10’s spying tech is really innovative, which could push it to second place. XP would be the worst, and the paperclip makes things a bit more manageable. Windows 8 feels average, just like other versions.

Windows 98 Second Edition offers excellent backward compatibility, merging DOS and Windows into one package. You can even run it in a DOS-only environment. It works even on basic hardware—perfect for retro gaming fans. I’d still prefer a 64-bit version with modern features if available. The downside is Windows 10, which raises privacy concerns.

Windows 95 & 98 - For bringing the iconic Start Menu into the world & Refining it to be an awesome OS I still use Windows 98 on my Retro Gaming PC Windows Vista - When it was released it was an awful OS, buggy and caused me to switch to Mac OS X for 7 Years!
