So I haven't really used or know much about wifi adapters esp. usb ones since I have only used ethernet for my source of connection and want a "wireless" change. So here are my needs -Good enough for online gaming, I'm not competitive but don't want to be getting rekt with a bad internet connection/ping -Good enough for game downloads esp. on steam -Good quality and won't malfunction -Good range -compatible with windows 10 (should be every product but just done to make sure) Budget is around 10-40 dollars.

Choose a 300mbps USB Wi-Fi adapter with an antenna for optimal coverage. The distance affects performance, so clear line of sight to the router helps maintain strong signals. If the router is out of reach, expect reduced connectivity.

Wireless AC remains the popular choice, sticking to that format. However, I don’t personally favor USB networking adapters, so I won’t recommend any of them.

The router will be placed on another level inside your home. No need for extra steps.
