Right now I reside in an apartment without Ethernet ports. To keep gaming, I purchased a PCIe Wi-Fi card (ASUS PCE-AC68) and it functions excellently. However, I plan to switch my GPU to a vertical design soon. This change would block all PCIe slots. I explored several fixes and found these options: 1. Acquire a USB Wi-Fi adapter (like D-Link DWA-192) 2. Purchase a PCE x1 riser cable and install it inside the case (if space permits), though I haven’t located a trustworthy riser cable and it’s not the safest method (consider removing an HDD and relocating it) 3. Powerline adapters, but I’m unsure if they outperform the previous solutions in price 4. Acquire an M.2 adapter to fit a dedicated M.2 Wi-Fi card. This seems like the least ideal choice. My motherboard and case are an MSI B450M mortar with a Lian Li PC-O11 dynamic setup. Cheers

I recommend choosing the USB option. It's uncertain if you'd achieve the same performance as a PCI-e card, but it could work if your internet connection isn't very fast.

It seems the main internet connection might not be ideal right now. I’m in an older apartment building, so it’s possible the landlord didn’t focus on fast Wi-Fi. It’s still sufficient for playing games and watching movies at the moment.

Consider purchasing a USB Wi-Fi adapter, preferably USB 3.0, to avoid performance issues. A USB stick would also work well, offering a cost-effective and convenient solution.
