You're using a 680 processor and are considering upgrading to something faster. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X, and others are popular choices. With your current setup around 1080p at 60fps, you might want to check what renders quickly on your hardware. Win 8.1 Pro is a solid OS, but performance can vary. It helps to test different programs and see which one meets your needs best.

It comes down to your familiarity with the process. You might save time by using a different tool that renders videos quicker, but if you invest three times as much effort into learning it, you're losing more time overall. Overall, I prefer Premier for its simplicity, particularly if you're used to working in Vegas, and the render times are manageable. The main drawback is being locked into Creative Cloud or Adobe's ecosystem.
