I'm evaluating an upgrade for my system. The new processor will be a Ryzen 7 5700G. I'm unsure which motherboard to pair with it. I'm considering the ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS mainly because it's affordable. Are there more advanced options worth thinking about? I don't need heavy performance; my current setup is an i7 4770 with 16GB DDR3 RAM and a 1660 Super.

The TUF Gaming offers solid value but for many, the MSI B550-A Pro and MSI B550M Bazooka provide better performance and more options. Both support 16-core configurations, though the Bazooka requires careful overclocking. They deliver strong features at a price near $100-120, making them a solid choice depending on your priorities. What made you choose the TUF Gaming initially?

It's a 1660 Super from TUF Gaming, built on mostly black with minimal RGB options. The board is full-size and was one of the more affordable ones with a 550 in the title and the features you considered important. No specific reason for choosing it.
