So, we're all checking the schedule for upcoming releases this fall/winter. Which titles are you most excited about? For me, Wolfenstein II was one of the top shooters recently. It blended classic and modern FPS elements well. I also enjoyed The Old Blood, so I'm eager for its sequel. Middle Earth - Shadow of War caught my attention; it seems to enhance many of the same mechanics as the first game. Hopefully, micro-transactions won't overshadow the experience. CoD WWII is still uncertain, but the beta was fun and brought back a bit of form. I haven't found a multiplayer FPS in years, so this might be my chance. The game I'm most looking forward to is Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which is set for February 2018 and has been developing nicely since its announcement. Can't wait to play it.

I imagine a major developer eventually releases a top-tier, open-world driving experience with dynamically created environments. BeamNG.drive comes closest to this vision.

I’m not really focused on any new announcements right now. My interest in many series from years past has faded. I’m only somewhat paying attention to Sonic Forces, though I don’t expect much. I’d be excited about a fresh Elder Scrolls title—preferably a full series, like Skyrim—but that’s the only one I’ve really played. I also want to see remakes of Morrowind and Oblivion built in the Skyrim engine. Does that count? Those are the reasons I haven’t played the old Elder Scrolls games much at all.

Well, BeamNG.drive is more of sandbox. Haven't touched it in a while, it is fun to play around with but it kinda got old really fast. Looking forward to Skywind and Skyblivion myself but seeing as they're large scale mods I don't think they'll be out any time soon. Although there's clearly a lot of progress being made on Skywind in particular and it looks really promising. You're gonna need to have the original games installed anyway so grabbing them on a sale on Steam is basically a no-brainer. They haven't aged all that well but there are mods and you can make even Morrorwind look really nice. You should check out the Kingdom Come: Deliverance game I mentioned, think Skyrim without the fantasy elements, set in medieval Bohemia. Never heard of it before, I checked to see what it's about but I can never really get into MMOs.

I appreciate it. Without the extensive modding community, it would become quite outdated quickly.

I play mostly MMORPGs. Overwatch is the only exception, but most are MMORPGs. I began with KalOnline, then Guild Wars 2, followed by WoW, Archeage, BDO... all these games have stability issues with FPS, so I’m hoping Ashes of Creation will finally deliver smooth performance using full GPU/CPU power. I don’t get why people struggle to enjoy MMORPGs. What could possibly be wrong? There are plenty of players, intense battles, PvP, PvE, sieges, wars, and boss fights—definitely not boring. That’s my take.

I used to enjoy Silkroad and Flyff back then. Played TES:O during its beta phase... What bothers me about MMORPGs is how quickly they become repetitive. It seems like you're always just slaying monsters or completing fetch missions just to progress. Plus, it takes a lot of time. I prefer RPGs for their storytelling, but in MMORPGs the narrative often feels shallow and forced.

I received Oblivion and Morrowind for this particular reason (Skywind and Skyblivion). Eventually, once time allows, I might try these titles, but I plan to enjoy them after the remakes arrive. My hesitation isn’t mainly about the visuals, but more about the gameplay mechanics. Additionally, I generally prefer Elder Scrolls games because of their immersive fantasy world and diverse magical elements.
