Which is the top thermal paste for the Ryzen 5 2600x? You're planning to stick with the original cooler but still want effective heat transfer.

The paste that is reapplied works well. For removal of the CPU cooler, I recommend using commercial thermal paste. Several high-quality options exist, such as Artic Silver 5, Noctua NT-H1, and Tuniq TX-2. Artic Silver 5,

I wouldn't worry too much, your pick of thermal paste won't change the temperature by much.

I'm checking if the GPU and CPU components are identical for your Zotac 1070ti AMP EXTREME.

joestanley2003ct :
i am also looking to repaint my GPUs backplate (Zotac 1070ti AMP EXTREME) and that will require me to replace the thermal paste. is the gpu and cpu compound the same?
You would only need to change the thermal paste on the GPU if you removed the cooler. And that will void the warranty. Besides you can't really see the GPU back plate once it is installed.
Normally there is a a thermal paste in ribbon form applied to the GPU itself and the VRM's. But I wouldn't mess with it unless there is a problem.

If you plan to paint the GPU, remember the warranty is canceled starting Tuesday. Prepare the GPU's exterior by using a fine grit sanding sponge. Apply a high-temperature spray paint suitable for plastic, using a fine mist that requires several layers to achieve full coverage. This method helps prevent pooling and drips. Allow each layer to dry thoroughly before applying the next, with very light sanding in between.
