I’m looking to discover how to work with Blender since it’s the sole 3D modeling tool available right now. I need a free resource, and if you mention YouTube, please share a channel that’s helpful.

Blendercookie.com Polycount.com/forums Polycount wiki. It’s better to master methods rather than sticking to one tool, since applying techniques makes your 3D art journey smoother.

I have roughly two and a half years of inventor training, which will help me use some of the concepts.

Consider getting 3Ds Max for students—it's free and likely offers a user-friendly interface that feels comfortable to use.

My cousin shared a link with me. I also picked up a Blender for Dummies book.

It seems I might not be able to set up any Autodesk tools since I don’t have Microsoft Excel.

Excel is needed because it helps organize, analyze, and present data efficiently.

I don't have it either, but I've installed it without issues. Could you share the error message it displays?

I haven’t attempted this recently and I’m avoiding it now. However, the system specs for Inventor and Maya both included Excel.

I suggest checking out blendercookie.com, blenderguru.com, blenderdiplom.com, and blendertutor.com. The top two stand out, while the others offer interesting lessons. I've found that tutorials are helpful only occasionally—you should experiment on your own at some point.
