Top router featuring eSIM capability and Ethernet connectivity.
Hi! I checked multiple search engines and tools, but it seems hard to locate 4G/5G routers with eSIM and Ethernet ports that run on AC power. The results for "4g router esim" came up empty, and the only option I found is a Zbtlink WE2805-B on Amazon, which requires their own SIM plans. It looks like eSIM technology is still emerging in this space.
eSIM availability is limited to newer devices, especially routers that update infrequently. For a 4G/5G router, the best choice is one with a physical SIM slot.
Based on what I've observed, you might try a service such as esim.me card. You'll receive a physical SIM card, then install the E-SIM through their app. Once done, you can remove the physical card and insert it into a 4G or 5G router. This seems to be the method I came across. It's a bit too late, but I shared this for anyone interested.
This insight comes from mkx on MikroTik forums. Essentially, you might want to locate a carrier—essentially a specialized wireless ISP—that provides physical SIM cards. If you still require a router with LTE capabilities, the Chateau LTE6 ax is a solid choice. It delivers all necessary features plus more. For a more affordable alternative, the hAP ax lite LTE6 works well. You can purchase the Chateau here: https://multilink.us/mikrotik-chateau-lte18-ax/ The hAP ax lite is expected to become available soon via multilink and other sellers. Remember, if you need carrier approval, MikroTik offers the Chateau LTE6-US. Check their site for more options: https://mikrotik.com/products/group/lte-5g-products
