Top Recommendations for Gaming Mice
Hi,
Could you share some mouse recommendations based on what you plan to use it for?
Mouse requirements:
- Gaming mouse with minimal latency
- Need DPI button for FPS games
- No side buttons, ideally only one on top, and under £80
Update: Mouse must be suitable for left-handed users!
I mostly play FPS games and have accumulated a lot of mice over the years. My top choice among them is this one

It has two side buttons, but it satisfies your needs. It usually goes on sale, and I think I bought mine for under £40. I’ve paid three times this amount for mice I don’t like as much. I’ve even purchased a spare one. One thing to do is, when you first set up the mouse, use the iCue software to teach it the mouse mat surface, which can be helpful.

I still have mine in a drawer. I liked this mouse; it was one of the better ones, though I personally preferred the Sabre right away. I could see why someone might like the M65—it’s all about personal taste.
I was planning to recommend
Logitech G502
until you pointed out your preference for fewer buttons. It's an excellent mouse.
Exciting PC Gaming Race Model D or similar mice available, or a Logitech mouse featuring the Hero sensor.
Thank you for your ideas. However, it seems many of them include buttons on the side 🤣. As someone who uses their left hand, having buttons only on the right side can be inconvenient for me.
It’s likely there should be a better gaming mouse without side buttons...
I own the razer mamba wireless. I don't feel any lag compared to another wireless mouse I use. It features two buttons on the side, which is common for most mice. There are DPI buttons located behind the scroll wheel. It has subtle RGB lighting and no hotspots. The sides have grippy textures. Whether you're into wireless or not depends on your gaming style, but it's great for performance.
