What games released in the past few years do you think have the most realistic graphics on highest settings? Do you think there is a visual trend that the game industry is moving towards? Thus far, I believe that very few games have managed to render facial shadows and highlights believably, without excessive "shininess" in the highlights and with accurately sharp or blurred shadows depending on the lighting and angle.

You’ve likely already run Crysis 3 with the highest graphics settings enabled.
I planned to mention SW Battlefront, but then I came across those images. WOW!
Avoid this one since it resembles locations close to yours, with a bit more saturation than usual.
Everyone believes the rapture was a visually impressive title, but it came across as more about style than substance and performed poorly. The Division has a nice design, as does Dirt Rally. I’m not sure about the release date, but the game that left the strongest impression on me was The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. When you step out of the tunnel into the woods, your reaction is immediate.
