The goal of the setup seems to be improving performance, though it will likely need higher resolution like 640x480 to achieve smooth gameplay. The system appears to be targeting better gaming capabilities despite its limitations.

It’s interesting how gaming performance can vary—some enjoy smooth 24 fps while others prefer higher frame rates. I’d like to see a stable 24 fps with good textures and visuals, rather than the occasional 60 fps that might cause issues. I wasn’t really focused on the GT210 chip itself; more about how low-end systems were treated by game developers. Since the PS4 is quite old, companies often create games that work on it, possibly because once mainstream hardware emerges, they shift focus to better experiences. I’m not sure exactly what I’m aiming for. One person mentioned DirectX10 limitations, which made me think the problem isn’t just about hardware anymore. The latest graphics engines like Unreal 5 and CryEngine 1 are much more advanced, highlighting how software support has lagged behind. This suggests that even with powerful hardware, gaming capabilities depend heavily on the software environment.

Not always necessary. Even with a card like a GTX 280 having dx12, it would be too weak to run modern games unless it was set to the lowest performance mode, and even then it might not function properly. Technology improves, and consoles establish the standards for current high-performance needs.
