I'm planning to use a 9700kf and run a 4.9 GHz boost across all cores. Need a stable VRM setup. Wireless isn't an issue—I have a card installed. I'm looking for ATX or MATX builds under $165 in the US, Oregon has no sales tax.

The Z370 Ultra is a rather average board. OP recommends the GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS or the GIGABYTE Z390 LGA1151 Realtek alternatives.

Z390 Extreme4 and Z390 Edge are the top choices, but the board quality is poor. They need a revised version with twice as many high-side MOSFETs for the Vcore to transform a disastrous build into something acceptable at a reasonable cost. It would break the budget.

It’s interesting how the Z390 Aorus appears in the link I shared—it’s actually more affordable since it comes in an open box, yet no one seems to be checking it out. Lol

Find the open box version for a used state, not a brand-new one. Amazon also offers refurbished boards. Simply sending a list of boards doesn’t always help.
