Red Dead 2 offers an excellent photo mode. The game appears so impressive that some screenshots ended up featured in a nature photography segment on a news outlet.
These games offer impressive photography options. Any title with Nvidia Ansel support shines the brightest. Other games like Shadow of Mordor, Cyberpunk, and Batman provide decent photo features, though they tend to center the lens on the protagonist, making it tougher to capture great shots.
Ansel seems to function well, but its navigation could use improvement for smoother performance. Handling over 100 images in games requires a user interface that feels responsive. It appears to be in the beta phase rather than the final release version.
On a powerful machine, you can enhance Cities: Skylines with various mods for improved visuals and additional features for camera adjustments (beyond the standard photomode). You might also discover shared save files so you don’t have to create everything from scratch—just use the base game plus some DLCs. Consider waiting until it’s on sale next.
I enjoy exploring cities with all its expansions and mods, though some updates cause missing asset issues. Even with that, I love capturing photos there. I also like picking lesser-known titles, such as Cities. I’ve completed Earthbound on my emulator, and am currently playing Katana Zero and Cyber Shadow, aiming to get dynamic shots in those games.
