The source engine is incredibly strong. Another title is GMOD. It really represents the best sandbox experience.

It's a discussion point. As the game progresses, it'll require significantly more processing power to function smoothly. This is especially true when constructing space stations or expanding the number of planets.

I enjoy Bleed a lot, and the original Half-Life titles aren't overly tough, nor are the classic Serious Sam or Duke Nukem games. Many GoG.com titles are also not too challenging, though some can be. Emulators are available as well. I don't believe Pre-N64 or PS1 emulators are excessively demanding.
