Gaming performance is determined by the processor and graphics card.
Any operating system that is supported by your game and hardware will give you about equal performance.

I use win7 to play pubg. If your processor are over 6cores, I advice win10.

As said above any linux variation will use much less resources then windows. But honestly if you want to play anything current just go with windows. Linux isn't very friendly compatibility wide as far as games go for normal users.
