If wifi is available, you can utilize an iOS file manager that transforms your iPhone into an FTP server. After that, employ your Windows 10 browser or file manager to retrieve the files and relocate or duplicate them as needed. Readdle and FileApp are notable examples of apps that prepare your iPhone for file transfers.

The device doesn't require external software for importing images and videos. Windows 10 includes these features natively. You might consider using a previous iTunes version if you prefer another application.

I'm facing an issue where something (likely Windows 10) isn't functioning correctly, blocking proper picture and video imports. The Photos app starts the import but then halts, reporting a problem. This happens when trying to import from the iPhone in File Explorer and also with iTunes. I've attempted several fixes: uninstalling and reinstalling the Windows Photo app, removing and reinstalling the iPhone (and its driver), and running sfc/scannow. The issue started after upgrading to an iPhone 11 a few years ago and persists after upgrading to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I've considered buying dedicated software instead of continuing troubleshooting, as I prefer avoiding cloud usage.

I attempted both options and still encountered the same issue with moving files. It's unclear what to do next.

What you're going through is also happening to my father-in-law. The approach that has helped is downloading files in smaller parts. It may take more time, but it appears to be effective.

The system is reporting issues when trying to access folders on your iPhone using Edge or Windows Explorer after enabling FTP mode. This appears to be related to iPhone permission settings rather than a general file manager problem.

The question refers to whether data was moved from the iPhone 11 to the 12. It suggests that the issue might stem from file system corruption or missing files, as all applications are experiencing problems.
