You're looking to maximize console support on your mini PC. Given your i5 3740 with 8GB RAM and a 480GB SSD, you have solid performance for running multiple emulators. Consider using Linux distributions like Ubuntu or Arch Linux, which offer extensive support for gaming consoles via virtualization or direct emulation. Popular choices include:

- **RetroArch** – great for PC emulation of consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.
- **Nintendo Switch emulator** – runs on Linux with minimal setup.
- **PCSX2** – ideal for PS2, PS3, PS4, and Xbox games.
- **DOSBox** – useful if you want to run older console games in DOS environment.

Since you're new to emulation, start with RetroArch or PCSX2 for broad compatibility. If you want a more lightweight setup, NES/SNES emulators work well too. Let me know which consoles you're targeting, and I can suggest the best options!

i5 and PS2 emu run smoothly, reaching their potential. Just a note, most Nintendo games are straightforward, so don’t forget to include a GTX 550 Ti for the best experience.

yyeeaahhh, no gpu.... It's being fit in a NES, here is a link to the donor computer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/183889919847 The i5 3740T is being replaced by a normal i5 3740 and the 4gbs of ram is getting another stick of 4gbs thus 8gbs. Lastly the only change is a better cooler...

In reality, any GPU from the past decade should work for NES emulation, including PS1 and PS2. The onboard graphics might vary, but a mid-range GPU in the $50 to $100 range will usually suffice.
