You're seeking a more streamlined solution for monitoring your PC. Currently, you're using HW Monitor, which functions well but has some drawbacks like an unappealing interface and difficulty overlaying it during gaming sessions. You're interested in exploring alternatives that might offer a cleaner look and better usability.

You can use tools like EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner to add game overlays. They also offer in-game monitoring, though it seems restricted to graphics card activity. I haven’t adjusted the settings too much.

I used the Afterburner but didn’t spend much time with it. It was difficult to use, took up a lot of space, and I couldn’t find any CPU details on it, so I stopped using it. I also checked rainmeter online or on YouTube and didn’t see any CPU information either. Does this device track CPU temperatures?

It wouldn't seem too difficult to change the appearance of HWMonitor. I could handle it, though I'm not very experienced with programming yet and don't feel ready for such a task.

I'm using OHM (Open Hardware Monitor). It includes a portable device that displays all my temperatures, memory stats, etc., and it's completely free. http://openhardwaremonitor.org/

I run both AIDA64 and EVGA's PrecisionX simultaneously while using a second screen, and I keep CoreTemp visible in the taskbar for other tasks.

Add HWINFO sensors to the MSI Afterburner OSD overlay and display around 9 billion sensors during gameplay.

Sure, I'll take a look at some of those options. I currently have just one monitor.

I'll check out some more tutorials on Afterburner to explore its features. It wasn't easy to find much help, and it seemed there weren't many options available.

Refer to No. 1 & 2 for guidance. For HWINFO, launch Settings and navigate to the OSD(RTSS) section. Turn on the sensors you wish to display in MSI Afterburner OSD by checking the "Show value" option in the OSD.
