I plan to target 1080p at 60 fps and aim for a 144Hz display soon. The reviews I found point toward the 2700X model, but I wanted to verify if it's still the optimal choice.
The 3600X seems ideal for gaming. The 2700X would only shine in a few highly multithreaded applications. For budget options, a regular 3600 without extra features works just fine—performance differences are minimal.
Choose the Ryzen 5 3600. It matches the X variant in performance, though the X version includes a superior built-in cooler.
