I'm searching for the top 5G modem suitable for an office setup. You'll be relocating soon, so you need a stable connection while the ISP installs. You'll be without internet for roughly a month and want something dependable, with LTE backup as a fallback. ATT is your provider in the US. I've checked Cradlepoint but want other rack-mount options that fit your needs. Mostly email and PDFs will be used, not heavy file transfers.
cradlepoint seems a bit overkill for 5G needs. For better performance, an openwrt router works well—pair it with your phone via USB tethering. If you already have Ethernet tethering on your device, you could skip that and use a simple switch or access point. This advice is tailored to single-user setups.
The OP will likely run in to limits. Hotspot / Tethering a phone in the US tend to have limits. On T Mobiles highest end plan you get 40 Gigs of high speed data before your throttled to like 3G speeds or you might be charged more. The only way to get "Unlimited" via cellular in the US is to have home internet LTE/5G. The issue for the OP is that only T Mobile and Verizon currently have that service.
