Top Game of 2015 Review
Top Game of 2015 Review
It was a mixed year for games. Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity, Ori and the Blind Forest, and MGS V stood out as better than last year. Wolfenstein was the top pick from the previous year, while most titles didn’t quite match. Shadow of Mordor was close, and Dragon Age Inquisiton might have been a contender. Far Cry 4 didn’t impress, Watch Dogs was mediocre, and another CoD release seemed expected. Alien Isolation was a solid choice but felt too long. I’m unsure of its exact rating, but it should rank among the top half. What games did I overlook? Titanfall, Warframe 2.0, Destiny, and The Crew were notable. Monument Valley was a nice addition. 2014 felt like an average year, full of mostly unremarkable releases. In 2015, some standout games emerged, potentially setting new benchmarks in their genres. We’re still eager for titles like Fallout 4 and maybe Just Cause 3, though expectations are high. How will it all turn out?
It seems like you're reflecting on your gaming experiences. So far, 2015 feels better than 2014, though it doesn't fully capture the Witcher 3's reception. I haven't heard of Pillars of Eternity or played it, but Ori sounds interesting. I still need to try MGS2 on PS2 and avoid other games from the series. The game already has DLC available soon. In 2014, I didn't enjoy DA: Inquisition much and found Shadow of Mordor to be mediocre. My opinion on Watch Dogs was also not great.
Noted, I missed the Transistor from 2014. Here’s a concise overview of that year:
