Just finished assembling a build using an Athlon 760K with a stock cooler and a R7 260X (MSI 2GB O/C). For basic stress testing, you can try simple applications or utilities. Aim for CPU temperatures around 80-85°C during load, and GPU temps should stay under 90°C.

Typically you don’t want your graphics card to hit 80+, but I’d prefer it around 60-75.

Use the default settings unless you have specific requirements.

It appears the limits were higher than what you thought. Graphics cards in the 85-90 range were considered top-tier, while the 70s offered solid performance and the 80s were still acceptable.

Use the standard CPU/GPU setup. Execute for 30 minutes with a short idle period at the start and longer runtime at the end. Additional suitable benchmarks include 3DMarks, Heaven, and CineBench. You can match those results by comparing users with similar hardware.
