Here are some top free drive cloning tools you can use right now. Look for programs that support HDD to SSD transfers in laptops without needing a subscription. AOMEI’s version isn’t free, so alternatives like Clonezilla (open source), Macrium Reflect Free, and EaseUS Todo Backup offer solid options. Make sure to check compatibility with your system before choosing.

I've relied on Macrium Reflect Free before, and it has worked well. Most people recommend a fresh installation instead.

I’ll definitely check it out! For this scenario, a fresh installation isn’t possible. The goal is to move the system and all files to an SSD for better performance.
