So... things turned out worse than expected and I’m not in a good financial position for my new setup, but I managed to get it done. I replaced my old laptop with Windows 10. Now I’m not sure which programs to install—I’m unsure what software is needed and I’m looking for recommendations for all kinds of programs! It’s not very powerful, so it should only handle Minecraft games and nothing else. I really want to avoid ads, spyware, and viruses, as those were the reasons it crashed before a clean install. I’m hoping to find free options. Also, if anyone has suggestions for good free 2D animation software and free video editing tools, that would be great! Thanks!
Recommended protection: Avast for scanning and general defense, plus Malwarebytes for malware detection. For writing, Notepad++ is the top choice, though MS Word works well for essays or other documents. (or a free option available)
