Hello, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. A video explaining encryption and recovery would be great, especially if it were available for free or at a reasonable cost—around $20 to $30 with a lifetime upgrade would be ideal.

On Linux, you configure encryption for all disks regardless of whether any data is stored on them.

Bitlocker offers some protection but was compromised, sharing parts of its keys or methods with the NSA/SS, making it less secure. Once logged in via a Windows Live account, the key is saved in OneDrive. Truecrypt is disappearing, and the reasons remain unclear—developers might have been exposed and targeted by the US.
