For me, the best choice balances COD 4/WAW/MW2 and BO1, while the worst is definitely GHOSTS. I’m not sure why I thought the maps were that huge—definitely too big. Still, Battlefield 4 was its own challenge in comparison.
Top performers rank highest, while lower scores indicate weaker results.
Top CoD games I've tried: MW2 on Xbox 360, worst CoD is MW3 on Xbox 360. Even with Kappa, this review stayed focused. MW2 was solid, MW3 fell short.
Top: CoD 4 MW Lowest: Black Ops 3 (at least the beta). Never really tried any other games after the initial Black Ops.
Top: MW2 (though I wish it had better bot support) Lowest: Black ops 1 and 2, though they need some clarification. I enjoy the narrative of BO1 (I haven’t played the story for BO2 yet, so unsure), and the zombies mode on both is entertaining, but online play was disappointing (though having bots is a plus). The engine had lag, and there were annoying proximity issues that won’t be fixed. I don’t really care much about or dislike CoD.
best: prior to World War II the most significant outcome was better
worst: after World War II the most critical issue was worse
