I’m getting my paycheck on Sunday and I’ve been wanting to try a coding game. Back then I played them on a PS3, but I don’t have it anymore. Are there any active communities left for modern strategy games, or do I need to invest to play something like World War II?

People have praised Ghosts highly, yet they haven't had the opportunity to try it or access the necessary equipment.

Battlefield 1 still attracts some players, though many rely on cheaters or modified lobbies. Finding a fair match is challenging. A remastered version might draw more players, but it seems unlikely to be sold separately—only the original special edition was available at launch. For the smoothest and most secure experience (current and hack-free), opting for the WWII mode would be ideal.

WW2 is fine, but it hasn't gotten any better since Michael Cornbread left.

Already own Battlefield 1 and the remastered version has a low player base and the story isn’t very strong. I’d pay 40€ for it. Would WWII have gun unlocks tied to leveling up? Because from what I recall, Black Ops 3 required you to collect new weapons from boxes before using them (that’s not great, right?)

It will be tough to locate someone with a strong online following since most PC shooter gamers have moved to battle royale titles such as PUBG and Fortnite.

I wouldn't get ghosts. The maps are made around camping. The majority of the community spends 90% of the game sitting in bushes or on-top of buildings waiting for you to come past.

It seems you're unsure if you want a multiplayer or single-player experience. As the dedicated single-player COD fan, I believe the original version is the top choice, with COD4 coming close behind. The remaining options are scattered across different categories.

MW1+2 worked fine. The rest was really tough. Copy/paste seems to be some slow NPC nonsense.
