You recently purchased the Dell XPS 15 (model 9500, the newest), but you received the base version with just 8GB RAM. Setting up Windows and syncing OneDrive has already shown it won’t suffice for even light tasks. I’m sure I can upgrade myself, but I’m unsure which RAM to buy or where to buy it. The machine’s specs list DDR4 2933Mhz memory—do you need a specific brand? Can it support faster RAM than that? I’d prefer to disassemble only once if possible and maximize value. I also need guidance on an M.2 nVME drive, as I have no prior experience with them. This is my first time tackling PC upgrades or repairs since the early 2000s. Thanks for your help.
