Hey! Here are some ideas you might find useful. Sniper Elites are currently having a big discount on Steam. Have you tried any of them? I played the demo of the first one and it was really enjoyable. I also returned Sniper Elite 3 because it felt too basic, but Sniper Elite 4 looks promising based on what I've seen. Plus, I have $15 in my Steam account—what do you think?

Three and four are significantly larger than two, yet I found two to be far more appealing than the others.

Sure, I found the maps with richer sniper coverage more engaging. Map 3 stands out with its vibrant colors and artistry, though it lacks the intense sniper focus of the first two. You'll notice a nice mix of styles, offering varied experiences—especially when you can switch to stealth modes or use silenced weapons for tactical movement. This adds great diversity to how you play.

Played three times briefly after four, noticing noticeable visual enhancements in the new title. If you purchase the full set, follow the listed numbers closely. I haven’t tried any even more ancient versions. I mostly focus on 4, and your choice of weapon—whether silent or accurate—can greatly affect the experience. The hit-location aid is a mixed bag; it works well in most difficulty levels except max, where it’s absent. That makes aiming tricky, especially if you miss with it on. At max difficulty, you must rely on wind indicators and precise targeting. In fact, ammo awareness becomes crucial only at the highest setting. I often ran out of bullets early and ended up playing like Hitman, focusing on close-range kills instead of long-range precision.

I'm a bit straightforward, but SE4 is my top pick among them. SE1 (and 2 less so) felt average for me, while 3 was decent. Being able to shoot Hitler in The Peter and the Friends of Ed is also a plus.

Purchase now and stop searching... $1.00 Sniper Elite V2. Many are offering it for $1.00 to $5.00 since they’re grabbing the subscription keys for Humble Monthly. This month’s title is Sniper Elite V2, a top pick in the series. I secured this same offer on eBay about a week back and spent 4-5 hours setting it up. I once scored a high score on Xbox 360 many years ago. It looks and performs significantly better at 1440p with 144 fps on PC—GPU and CPU handle it smoothly.
