I’ll be navigating the web similarly to YouTube, focusing mainly on launching emulators and older titles. Running on a Pi, I’m unsure how well it handles emulators—Linux might be a good start. The build log is available for review.
Linux is open-source and performs well with emulators. I haven't tried it before—just what Google mentioned.
I’d probably find it tough to run GameCube on a Pi. My phone struggles with GC without noticeable lag, and the Dreamcast could push the system further. I haven’t used retropie, so I’m unsure how well its Dreamcast emulator is optimized. If someone really wants to try Dreamcast, they might consider a lightweight Linux distro and Redream.
Dreamcast has its quirks. The main part is still in development, yet it mimics well. GC doesn’t impress much, though I haven’t tested it. Dolphin works, but it can only handle a few titles at decent pace, not fast enough for smash or sms
