Hello, I'm trying to decide which M.2 slot to use for my new system (Ryzen 7 3700X, 5700X/2070 Super, 16GB, 3600MHz). I need a PCIe 4.0 slot for future upgrades and some room for overclocking. Although PCIe 4.0 isn't essential right now, I might want to upgrade later without having to replace the whole setup. Budget is under £210, and I plan to buy on Black Friday, which could give me a good deal.

These two options—Asus TUF and Gigabyte Aorus Elite—are both reliable choices, offering strong performance for their cost.

Are you certain about this? Hardware Unboxed didn’t seem very impressed with the MSI X570 products. I’d steer clear of them. @claudinho7 When did the UK begin using the dollar?

It was a mistake, sorry about that. The link was accurate—it's a Gigabyte board.

He also mentioned being in the UK, which means NewEgg isn't really a choice. Good play.

200USD or similar in other markets is just starting for the X570 chipset. Around 300-400USD is typical. In that range, I’d consider the Asus Strix X570-E Gaming, ASRock X570 Taichi, MSI X570 ACE Gaming. If you need PCIe Gen4, extra ports, or NVMe M.2 Gen 4, it’s not essential. A decent older B450 or X470 motherboard would also work well.

I need the GEN4 version since I don’t want to start from scratch and just upgrade. It should include Gen4 and be solid enough for overclocking. Entry-level models are around 140, but I’m sure a better one exists at 200. Asus TUF seems to be a solid choice.
