I've consistently supported Windows Defender, but lately I've encountered issues with downloading questionable files and the lack of a file search feature. I'm looking for reliable free antivirus alternatives. I'd appreciate any recommendations along with evidence showing their effectiveness.

To avoid issues, it's better to prevent downloading questionable files rather than relying on antivirus software. I haven't needed any protection in the last seven years.

I've been relying on Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, and my own judgment for the past few years without any issues.

Skeptical about not participating in games = unauthorized access... It doesn’t need the term piracy to fit.

When a mod deletes the post, it shows if we followed the guidelines. I remain confident I didn’t violate any rules.
