Top and worst games for the AGEIA PhysX card collection.
I first attempted a small test by inserting an older Ageia PhysX Card into my GTX 980 to check how many classic PhysX titles ran on today’s hardware. Then I decided to create a full retro review video for each of those games, covering both the gameplay and the developers’ situations. This project has been quietly waiting on my to-do list for over a year now, and I’m finally wrapping up. I wanted to share it with you so you can offer your thoughts. Warning – the video is about 40 minutes long. *link removed*
PhysX began as a Swiss firm's project called NovodeX before AGEIA took over in 2002, rebranding it. It was initially focused on creating specialized chips to boost their software. In 2006 they introduced the physics processor unit for the AGEIA PhysX Card. By late 2008, around 22 games used it, and many more relied on the API for basic CPU tasks until AGEIA merged with Nvidia.
