These 'PC cleaning apps' are often misleading. They usually don’t boost performance significantly—your boot time might only drop a tiny bit. To free up space, use Windows’ built-in Disk Cleanup tool. It reduced my boot time by about three-quarters of a second... haha... I mainly use it to remove temporary files and fix file associations (sometimes I end up with them because I keep installing and uninstalling things)...
