I could choose the ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming. I believe it offers superior audio performance.
At the $150 price range, there are numerous options, each with its own merits. The extent to which you can optimize your setup depends largely on securing a quality chip. Roughly 85% of 660K will achieve 4.6 frames per second. With the upcoming Pascal technology and AMD’s advancements, I’m not inclined to commit to a plan today. My strategy would involve upgrading to a GTX970 paired with a more powerful single card later on.
Here is my candid opinion on dual-card planning:

I also enjoy the compact M-ATX design. Here are some compatible m-atx motherboards:

For a full ATX option, check out this ASUS Z170-E LGA model:

I like the smaller M-ATX style. Here are some sli capable m-atx motherboards I found: one from Newegg and another from ASUS. Thanks for your quick response. The main differences between micro ATX and ATX are size and features, and I’d suggest the ASUS option if you need more space or advanced capabilities.
If your M-ATX motherboard supports Sli, then the two graphics cards must be placed close together without any gaps.
This arrangement limits airflow for the top card, causing it to overheat.
I chose an M-ATX board because I required a case that fit within a 16-inch space.
With a quality motherboard, the format doesn’t significantly affect performance.
Typically, M-ATX boards are more affordable.
