I’m not sure where to begin with game capture tools. The one Linus reviewed really caught my attention, but I’m new to this and need some guidance. As mentioned in the title, I’m searching for an affordable capture device. I’ll probably be using DVI for my monitor and want to save the footage to my hard drive—since I’ll be doing a lot of editing and uploading to YouTube. I’m aiming for 1080p at 60 frames per second, though 1080p at 30 FPS would work too. I’d like the price to stay around $100 or less. Please let me know if this is hard to understand, and I’m trying to get it sorted quickly.
@ tmcclelland455 Why not opt for AMD GameDVR? With your HD 7950 and Tahiti, it should work just fine.
Yes, you can find more information about it online. As for the app, you don’t need Raptr/AMD Gaming Evolved to access it.
I believed you were referring to software. I was ready to suggest Overwolf.
I could express the same idea about GeForce Experience and Shadowplay. Indeed, you need to enable it. You'll also find the Lagarith loss-less codec useful if you're determined not to use Raptr.
Now that you noted the issues with Overwolf, I’ll proceed with installing TS3.
