Checking your setup and the advice you're seeing online. For your X570 MSI MEG ACE with 3900X, 32GB of 3600MHz RAM is a solid upgrade. Comparing 8GB vs 16GB sticks: 8GB offers better speed and stability for most users, especially if you're not pushing extreme workloads. Pairing 4x 8GB sticks gives more memory without overloading the system, while 2x 16GB sticks could be useful if you need extra capacity or future-proofing.

I support the Trident Z Neo perspective. They aren't Samsung B-Die, yet they offer less latency compared to the Samsung B-dies. This difference likely became noticeable with earlier Ryzen models when the memory controller was less reliable.

For a 32GB target, 4x8GB configurations may boost overclocking potential. The best option is likely the Gskill Ripjaws 5 Black, sharing the same 3600MHz 16-19-19 specs as the Neo at a lower price. If you need RGB options, Neo remains superior since the Crucial Ballistix kit offers minimal gains while costing more. The Crucial kit’s worth comes mainly from its 3000MHz CL15 and 3200MHz CL16 components, which support significant overclocks.

I focus on performance rather than RGB details. It’s likely the price difference reflects other factors beyond color options.

I attribute the changes to unpredictable variations.

It isn't suited for RGB setups—they typically use superior binned ICs in the Trident Z. RipJaws V at 19-20-20 delivers only 3600mt/s, which is quite poor. You've picked the least efficient sticks among the 3. Thanks.

Willis refers to the release dates of the Ripjaws 5 (16-19-19-36) and the Trident Z Neo (16-19-19-39).
