Consider trying it out if you haven't already.

Thanks, I'll have to look into it. I've heard about 'Onward' but not 'Outward' LOL
Edit: Just checked it on YouTube...My take is it seems like The Witcher combined with World of Warcraft. I might get this when it's on sale.

Uh.....
Well a +1 on this, I really enjoyed my playthrough, need to go at it again:
Shadow of the Tomb Raider wasn't this year, was it? That was a nice playthrough as well, but IIRC that came out in 2019.
JFO has been pretty cool, but I dislike the combat (it's great until there's a small space or more than a few enemies/something with a long reach, then the camera and animations seem reaaaally fuckin terrible, I can't actually move or see properly). Stuck playing it on easiest difficulty so you don't yeet the controller gang
. Outside of combat the game is very noice though, especially once you get more mobility options like the double jump. Puzzles are quite nice too, and the locations are a m a z i n g (though honestly fuck dathomirNoth why the hell does this game need so many spiders).
OOooooooooo Untitled Goose Game came out 2019 as well! That's an excellent game, though I haven't been on my Switch all that much (and when I have I've been trying my hand at Pokemon until I get fed up and hop to BOTW which is basically my gamer comfort food at this point).
Div 2 came out in 2019 as well apparently, that's a gorgeous game but eeeh... never really got into it. More into Destiny 2, but that originally launched in 2017 (DLCs have massively overhauled the game though and they re-launched most of the base/part of the updated game as a free version labeled New Light so maybe it counts?).
Nothing else I can think of from 2019 that I play.

I own the Division 2, but the visuals are quite crisp—still not my favorite. I only got it because it came bundled with my AMD card. I tend to lose interest in shooter titles like COD after a while. Gears 1, 2, and 3 were amazing (I recall staying up all night with friends playing horde mode), but things started to fade afterward...

For me there really isn't much in Div 2. There are some unique weapons, like poisin gas and some guys with bats who are bad, and DC is a mess. I tend to prefer Destiny's sci-fi stories, and the equipment is often really nice, which gives me the drive to collect it.

Sure thing. Just sticking to the map, shooting people and moving on. Sure, you can improve weapons (woopdeedoo), but the game still feels pretty flat. I know some people really enjoy guns and shooting games, but it doesn’t really appeal to me... LOL
Again, maybe I’m just getting old, but I found the menu system in Div 2 to be really annoying. Plus, I think you need to be online to play, and Ubisoft keeps forcing me to log into my account at random, waiting two minutes for each game to load—this gets exhausting pretty fast.
That’s my typical day rant... LOL

It's a great deal, even if it's not perfect. I had more fun playing with others, but the solo mode works too, though it's tougher. Don't forget to drop your backpack during fights.

I have very specific preferences for survival games. For example, I enjoy titles such as TW3, Diablo 3 and Path of Exile, but I haven't played Fallout or Bioshock.

When it comes to what's popular, Fortnite, Minecraft servers, and CS:GO dominate, but for me... Witcher 3, CoD stand out.
