Seeking the right equipment to test and verify, along with benchmarking CPU, GPU, and memory. I'm aiming to assemble an overclocked setup and ensure everything functions properly before use. Instead of rewatching Linus's videos, which he speaks quickly, I decided to ask directly. I've always built fairly basic systems, but now I want to take it further.

There are numerous options available. The most recognized benchmarks include 3DMark and its recent free version, Firestrike. Other reliable ones are Cinebench, Novabench, Allbenchmark, and SuperPi. For stress testing, Aida64 is highly recommended. If you have an older Intel or AMD processor, Prime95 works well as well. Additional choices are OCCT, Linpack, and for Intel XTU and IBT, others apply. Other popular ones are Geekbench and Asus ROG Realbench, though I haven't tested them personally. For GPU evaluations, Kombustor or Furmark are suitable, while Unigines Heaven and Valley are commonly used. Gameplay tests and built-in benchmarks are also available.

All programs have a maximum reading setting that captures only peak values. I use RealTemp for both during stress tests. For broader data like timing or visual charts, Afterburner works best. OpenHardwareMonitor can also produce useful graphs. Most advanced with detailed info and logs is HWiNFO.
