Tools for maintaining a clean PC
I mainly rely on a budget electric leaf blower for most of my cleaning tasks. Occasionally I take it apart and clean it with a cloth or soft brush when needed. For large jobs, I avoid using compressed air because the can loses temperature and doesn’t provide enough power. There’s a lot of waiting time involved. I’d advise against using an air compressor unless it includes water filtration.

I also utilize this as a precision screwdriver set (especially for laptops):

This aids in thorough cleaning by allowing disassembly, such as for fans.

I would advise caution when dealing with the Fanttik and similar drivers. I bought a Wowstick a few years ago through Paul and Kyle (Awesome Hardware), but it has proven to be quite unreliable. The components tend to break easily without any redundancy, especially in well-worn sizes. Additionally, the power output is insufficient, making it difficult to effectively loosen screws. It doesn’t remain durable long enough to allow disassembly of my Metis case panels.
Yes, they are a precision set, mainly designed for laptops. The torque isn't sufficient for screws in a desktop setup. Are you asking about the standard Fantiks cordless that could be used on a desktop? Or were you referring to another model?
There are many similar types of sets available. Selecting a high-quality one is essential.
My initial protection comes from a removable front air filter.
I maintain it when it appears dirty.
Spraying canned air can help, but it becomes costly and you use them often.
I employ an electric hand blower.
Be mindful to stop any fans during operation.
Air movement may exceed safe limits and harm the device.
If all else fails, alcohol and cloth wipes are the final option.
I employ an electric air blower equipped with a brush at the tip... purchased from Best Buy for approximately fifty dollars. It performs excellently on both the filters and internal components.
