It seems Windows 10 has simplified the image import process, especially for tags and filenames. Many users are exploring alternative methods to achieve similar results. Some are looking into third-party tools or custom scripts that mimic tag usage during import. Others are adjusting settings manually to bypass these changes. If you're connecting a phone, you might need to tweak folder structures or use different software to organize your media effectively.

You're using Lightroom for your photos, but you can also use other software like most other programs.

I work with Lightroom for my dSLR images. For my phone, I’d like to use the simple Windows version. Perhaps I should look into importing my smartphone photos into Lightroom? Sounds a bit complicated.

Consider this approach—since your software can’t handle videos, you might explore alternative methods for transferring smartphone photos and clips to your computer.
