Hello, your new USB LED strip is a great addition! You're looking for software to control its power without having to physically connect and disconnect it. Since you couldn't find much info online, you might want to explore simple apps or built-in system settings that let you toggle the LED on or off remotely. Checking manufacturer websites or forums could also provide specific guidance.

It's a simple USB LED strip attached to my monitor. The bright sunlight is making my eyes uncomfortable, but I prefer not to constantly move it away from my computer.

I purchased something from the nearby electronics shop. It looks like a generic item produced in China.

I connect a USB hub to my desk and simply remove it when I'm not using it.

Simplest option is a hub that lets you control power with a toggle, or a program that switches power on/off for each USB port individually.
