I saved Wikipedia as an XML file, which is about 40GB. Notepad refuses to open it because it’s too large, and Microsoft Word limits files to 512MB.

You'll require sufficient memory to run it properly.

Do you believe 16GB will suffice? I’m starting to worry… I didn’t include it when I reinstalled Windows. I’ll need to redownload it again. Edit: file is too large.

FireFox and Chrome are both 32-bit applications. They can't handle more than 32² bits of memory. From my experience, Notepad++ struggles with handling big files.

You'll require 40GB of storage. With sufficient swap space it could function, though performance will likely be sluggish.

It's a 32-bit system, but I believe a 32-bit application might not be able to store that much data in memory.

I was mistaken about the 64-bit option. Sorry for the confusion.

It was launched today, but should I still purchase it? It’s available for free at least for me.
